Lewis Capaldi's fans furious over Strictly Come Dancing performance

Lewis Capaldi's fans were left fuming this evening after struggling to hear his performance on Strictly Come Dancing .

The 22-year-old sang his number one single Someone You Loved while Aljaz Skorjanec and Janette Manrara danced in front of him.

Aljaz and Janette's romantic dancing wowed the audience, who excitedly clapped everytime they performed a particularly awe-inspiring move.

But this annoyed Lewis' fans, who complained that they were being rude by clapping over his music.

One fumed: "Totally ruined by the audience woo’ing and whoop’ing. Please, please stop the audience making a racket during the guest appearances. #Strictly #Strictly2019 #stopstrictlywooing."

While another commented: "How rude for the Audience to be cheering the dancers whilst he’s still singing!"

A third remarked: "Wish the audience wouldn’t cheer every time the dancerS perform a lift, must be off putting for the singer."

"It's a shame every musical performance is ruined by prompted screaming from the crowd. Totally disrespectful to the singer/band," another seethed.

One tweeted: "Beautiful singing.....beautiful dancing But ruined by the audience Plzzz plzzz stop them screaming and clapping during the performance.....get them to wait until the end!!!"

Another wrote: "Lovely singing- spoilt by all the shrieking from the audience- something has to be done to reign them in- it’s spoiling the show."

*Strictly Come Dancing returns next Saturday at 7.10pm on BBC One
