Lewis Capaldi's family home in West Lothian is on the market for £400,000

The family home of West Lothian superstar Lewis Capaldi has been put up for sale.

The property at Redmill Court in East Whitburn is on the market for offers over £395,000 through S1 Homes.

The five bedroom detached home has a gallery of pictures on the estate agent’s website but there is little trace left of the award winning singer.

Lewis revealed earlier this year he had moved out from the family home to his own place, and now his parents are selling up too.

The family lived in Glasgow until he was four-years-old before moving to the East Whitburn pad.

Lewis explained his humble beginnings in a documentary last year.

He said: “We moved to a place called Whitburn, which is near Bathgate. It was a very nice place to grow up, I think, just regular. There was a park, that had a couple of swings, and there was not much, you know, gang violence, thank god.

“I spent a lot of the time bored and a lot of time doing nothing, kind of pottering around and that, and that might have contributed to me picking up an instrument and stuff because there not much to do.”

Lewis is currently taking some time out to write and record the follow up to his debut album Divinely Uninspired to a Hellish Extent.
