Lewis Capaldi's ex Paige Turley is bookies' favourite to win Love Island

Lewis Capaldi's ex-girlfriend is the early favourite to win the first ever Winter Love Island.

Paige Turley is tipped to take home gold, with bookmakers make have odds down at 7/4, just ahead of Sophie Piper.

The 22-year-old Scot dated pop star Lewis Capaldi when she was 18.

Paige Turley was revealed as one of the contestants on the first winter version of ITV2's Love Island (ITV)

Also known for her siging talents, Paige appeared on Britain’s Got Talent in 2012.

Sophie Piper is second favourite to win Love Island. She also has a star-studded connection, as she is the sister of Saturday’s singer and TV presenter, Rochelle Humes.

As for the boys, Bookmakers favourites are Brighton salesman Connor Durman, the Russell Kane lookalike, who has previous worked as a naked waiter and he is priced at just 15/8 ahead of London policeman Mike Boateng.

OddsMonkey spokesman Peter Watton said: “The first set of contestants are now confirmed for Winter Love Island and people may not take too much notice, but you only have to look back at the former winners to know that those who enter first have a big advantage.

“Every female in the winning couple has always been in the villa from day one, whilst only two of the winning males have not been there from the start – Max Morley in the first series and Greg O’Shea who won last year.

“So it is worthwhile having a bet early on, chances are you are going to have a decent chance of getting a winner.”
