Lewis Capaldi's brother takes on stomach-turning Does It Fry? challenge

Lewis Capaldi's brother took the ultimate Scottish taste test in a stomach turning challenge for the famed Does It Fry? series.

Host Dazza's internet sensation sees everything from everything from popcorn, a Burger King, cheesecake and even a Playstation controller battered up and stuck in a fryer.

This week he was joined by actor and older brother of Lewis, Anthony Capaldi, and he brought three different types of protein bar with him.

The 25-year-old's palate took a beating as the pair whacked cookie dough, peanut and birthday cake flavoured Grenade bars in the deep fat fryer.

Just to give it even more of a kick - some may say unnecessarily , but who are we to judge - Dazza adds some Monster and Red Bull energy drinks.

Because why not?

First up was the cookie dough, which went down surprisingly pretty well with all involved, as Anthony says: "I think this is class!"

The peanut flavoured bar was also a hit, with Dazza boldly claiming: "This would be a better alternative to a snickers".

But sadly it was not to be three 'Ayes' out of three, with the deep fried birthday cake variation going down as badly as you would imagine.

Anthony said: "That didn't hold together well at all, it definitely is something. Not nice.

"After the first one I thought this was going to go really well. And then it was like 'Yup, bit better', and then it just… team failed to show up for the last one. That was horrible."

Glaswegian viral sensation  Dazza is now cooking up some plans to be just as successful in real life.

You can catch the Parkhead native bringing Does It Fry? to the stage as part of the upcoming Glasgow International Comedy Festival on March 21 at the Argyle Street Arches.

It will be based on the same idea as always: loads of stuff will be chucked into a deep fat fryer while we wait with baited breath for the results.
