Christmas has come early for Lewis Capaldi fans, after the singer confirmed that he will be dropping a brand new single...today.
The West Lothian star shared the news with 824,000 followers on Twitter, revealing that the new track, called "Before You Go", will be available to stream worldwide from 5pm this evening (GMT).
The Someone You Loved singer cracked America last month when he became the first UK artist to top the US chart with a single from their debut album since Leona Lewis in 2008.
But the star says his new tune, which did not appear on his debut album "Divinely Inspired to a Hellish Extent, is his "favourite song" that he's ever written.
In a message to fans ahead of the single release, the singer reflects on his newfound fame and reveals that he never thought "all this stuff would happen" to him.
He wrote: "The past year has been absolutely wild, didn't in a million years think of all this stuff would happen to me.
"Less than two years ago I was lucky enough to get to gigs in small pubs and bars back home in Scotland and somehow I am writing this with a number one single in America and getting to play to and meet thousands of ya every night all over the world!
"Today at 5pm UK time I am releasing 'Before You Go', which is by far te most personal tune I've ever written.
"Can't wait for ya to hear it!"
