Lewis Capaldi had fans in stitches as he donned a 'mankini' to promote the new Borat film.
The Scots singer uploaded a hilarious advert for Sacha Baron Cohen's latest offering, alongside claims he refuses to "degrade" himself for money anymore.
The Bruises star showed off his much-loved sense of humour in the clip as he dressed uop as the fictional Kazakh TV personality to encourage fans to check out Borat Subsequent Moviefilm.
The musician revealed in a tongue-in-cheek TikTok video that due to a lack of work brought on by the coronavirus pandemic, he'd been forced to tighten his belt and take up Amazon's offer to back Borat 2.
But he explained he'd laid down the law and said he wouldn't do anything to embarrass himself as he'd worked hard to be taken seriously as a musician.
Lewis said: "Obviously with the pandemic this year I haven't been working a lot, I've not been gigging so money hasn't been coming in, I've had to tighten my belt quite a bit.
"So as you can imagine, when the people who made Borat 2 got in touch with me and said 'Lewis would you help us promote the film at all and we'll pay you? I was like of course, absolutely, but I did say on one condition.
I've worked really hard and I'm now finally being taken seriously as a musician, not just as a silly guy, so I want to help you but i don't degrade myself for money anymore."
After the cheeky Bathgate-born megastar explained his demands to followers, the camera then cut to him standing in Borat's infamous and iconic outfit from the first film.
A deadpan Lewis then added: "Okay so Borat 2 Subsequent Moviefilm is out on October 23 on Amazon Prime so make sure you watch it, it's great it's really good. "
