Lewis Capaldi reflects on two years of 'absolute madness' in touching Instagram story

Lewis Capaldi is taking fans on a trip down memory lane during a bumper week.

The chart-topper has been reminiscing before tickets go on sale for his biggest ever headline gig to date.

Lewis, who celebrated two wins at the Brit Awards on Tuesday, will play the final UK show from his Divinely Uninspired To A Hellish Extent album in October.

After selling out pre-sale for the London 02 Arena concert in less than one minute, he's set to fill the 20,000 capacity with ease when they go on sale tomorrow.

And it turns out even superstars can have reflective moments, as he looks back to his first time taking to the stage at the iconic venue in 2018, when he supported Sam Smith.

He said: "To be announcing my own headline show here less than two years later is absolute madness."

And he didn't stop there!

Lewis was the biggest winner at the Brit Awards on Tuesday night, taking home best New Artist and best British Single, and he also performed an emotional rendition of megahit Someone You Loved for the star-studded crowd.

So he was quick to show how far he's come in a short space of time, by re-sharing footage of a gig on the small stage at the Shepherd's Bush Empire in 2018, quickly followed up by a clip from this week's Brits.

He added: "This week got to perform 'Someone You Loved' in the same venue and somehow won two Brit Awards."
