Lewis Capaldi rakes in £2.4million from Spotify streams of just one song

Lewis Capaldi has raked in £2.4million from just one song thanks to Spotify streams, according to a new data.

The Scottish crooner's hit Before You Go has been streamed over 759 million times earning him a hefty fortune - enough buy his new £1.6million pad with £800,000 to spare.

A new study by Money.co.uk has revealed how much money is made from Spotify streams of the world’s top artists including Billie Eilish, Post Malone and Rihanna.

While some artists require an entire album to make their fortune, Lewis is the only musician who raked in cash through the revenue of just one song alone.

The Bathgate-born singer bought a new property on the outskirts of Glasgow in 2019 thanks to the success of his debut album Divinely Uninspired to a Hellish Extent.

Despite topping the charts and touring the world, Lewis only recently moved out his parents home.

The 24-year-old’s new five bedroom mansion has a private pond outside in the grounds with a small island and a bridge in the middle.

The property also has stables, a giant conservatory, a summer house and a cottage - so the superstar can host family and friends at his new pad.

Lewis has been hard at work creating his much-anticipated second album while taking a social media hiatus to focus on the music.

He told fans "bye for now" as he logged off in January as eager fans shared their excitement over the prospect of new songs.
