Lewis Capaldi praised by legendary Celtic striker John Hartson as photo resurfaces

John Hartson has shared a photo of his meeting with Scottish singing sensation Lewis Capaldi last Christmas.

Legendary Celtic striker Hartson bumped into Capaldi at Heathrow Airport on Boxing Day last year.

At the time Hartson tweeted "Nice to have bumped into this very polite young man", and he elaborated again on Saturday when the photo was shared by the Lewis Capaldi CSC Twitter account (@csc_lewis).

The Welshman, who scored 109 goals in 201 appearances for Celtic despite almost joining Rangers, tweeted: "Lewis was fantastic...spoke with my daughter for about 10 mins on the phone.

"Lina loves him and is a really keen singer!"

When he originally shared the photo in December, Capaldi said: "LEGEND! Great to meet you mate @johnhartson10."

23-year-old Capaldi reached number one in the UK and USA with Someone You Loved, while his debut album Divinely Uninspired to a Hellish Extent was the fastest selling album of 2019 in the UK and Ireland.

After being brought to Celtic Park by Martin O'Neill for £6m in 2001, Hartson won three league titles, two Scottish Cups and one League Cup.
