Lewis Capaldi pictured in Livingston outlet with 'ma maw' just hours before TRNSMT set

Lewis Capaldi has been pictured shopping in Livingston just hours before he is due to perform at TRNSMT .

The chart-topper was spotted in the designer outlet looking for a bargain as he posed for selfie with a fan.

Twitter user Danielle Brown took to Twitter to show her mum smiling with the Bathgate singer while he was out and about.

In the post she said: "If @LewisCapaldi is meant to be playing trnsmt in a matter of hours why is he in the Livingston outlet with ma maw?"

Capaldi is set to perform on the main stage today at the Glasgow Green festival with his performance expected to start at around 7.30pm.

Thankfully Livingston is only a 40 minute drive from Glasgow so hopefully he will make his set in good time.

The 22-year-old shot to fame earlier this year when his single Someone You Loved reached number one in the charts.

Since his emergence he has been one of the most in demand artists in the country playing in front of sell-out crowds around the world.
