Lewis Capaldi muted at Brits for foul mouthed outburst and this is what he actually said

Singer Lewis Capaldi was muted by Brit Awards bosses on Tuesday night as he made a number of foul mouthed exchanges with the audience and an uncensored version of his brief appearance has now revealed what he actually said.

The Someone You Loved hit maker, who was also censored at the ceremony last year as he gave his acceptance speech was at the O2 Arena ceremony to hand out the award for Best Album, the same accolade he was nominated for in 2020.

After he was introduced by Brits host Jack Whitehall as "the Buckfast Adele," in reference to the infamous Scottish drink, Lewis sauntered onto the stage and started shouting "shut up...shut up" before saying: "hello motherf***ers," as the sound was swiftly muted and distorted noises played over the top of him.

Lewis wasn't done there though and as he said: "I'm f***ing sweating," the audio was cut again for close to 10 seconds and, while the audience in the O2 cheered him, viewers at home were left wondering what he said.

One Twitter user posted an uncensored clip where Lewis could be heard saying: "I'm f***ing sweating here. It's like a swamp down there...sweaty b*****ks."

Going back to script, Lewis told fans: "Sorry, I'm reading off a card here...how is everyone doing? It's great to be here tonight.

"It's just great to be out of the house to be honest," but as he said: "it's been a great year..." he was muted once again, with the uncensored video revealing Lewis said: "it's been a great year for albums, most of all because I haven't f***ing released one."

He ended by saying: "let's hope this year is even bigger and better than ever for British music," before an ill advised football comment when he added: "and obviously let's also hope Scoland win at the Euros," which prompted boos from the crowd, with his response seeing the audio being cut for a further time as he held the cue card up and shouted: "I didn't f***ing write it!"

Best Album was won by Dua Lipa, a double winner on the night with other Brits winners including Little Mix for British Group, J-Hus for British Male and Harry Styles for British Single.

Performances came from the likes of Coldplay, Griff, The Weeknd and Elton John and Olly Alexander.
