Lewis Capaldi looks unrecognisable in throwback clip as he reminisces about early career

Lewis Capaldi has shared an incredible throwback video of him singing early on in his career as he thanked his fans for their support.

The Forget Me singer is preparing for a huge UK and European tour after recently announcing his second album 'Broken By Desire To Be Heavenly Sent '.

The 26-year-old reflected on his career over the past few years and admitted he is 'amazed' he gets to perform to thousands of people compared to "playing my tunes to next to no one in pubs around Scotland".

On his Instagram, Lewis shared two videos - one of a recent performance to a huge crowd and another of his younger self performing on a stage at 'The Venue' in Dumfries.

Looking back at the comparison, he wrote: "Still amazes me I’ve gone from playing my tunes to next to no one in pubs around Scotland to hundreds of thousands of you around the world in a few short years.

Lewis rocketed straight to the top of the UK singles chart earlier this month with his song ‘Forget Me’ last month, making it his third UK number 1.

And fans were delighted last week when he announced that his brand new album 'Broken By Desire To Be Heavenly Sent' will be out on May, 19 2023 on EMI Records.

'Broken By Desire To Be Heavenly Sent' is the follow up to his smash-hit debut, Divinely Uninspired To A Hellish Extent, which was the biggest selling UK album of both 2019 and 2020.

Tickets will be available on general sale at 9am this Friday, October 28 here.
