Lewis Capaldi lends support to search for missing Emily Hope in Glasgow

Lewis Capaldi and Tom Grennan have lent their support to the hunt for missing Emily Hope.

A full-scale search for the 22-year-old from Jordanhill was launched when she failed to return home after leaving Glasgow nightclub Mango in the early hours of Saturday morning.

A social media appeal by her desperate family and friends has so far failed to find her.

Lewis shared a tweet asking the public to lend their support.

And Tom shared the same post encouraging his army of followers to help.

Emily's personal belongings were recovered next to the River Clyde after CCTV footage showed her near the Tradeston Bridge after leaving the club.

Her sister Nicola took to Facebook over the weekend to ask for help.

She said: "If anyone has seen or heard from Emily Hope then please get in touch.

"She was last seen in the centre of Glasgow at Mango on Sauchiehall Street just after 2am this morning.

"She's wearing a red Jacket, black and white spotted top, jeans and red trainers."

Specialist teams have been drafted in to search the area, including the marine unit.

Inspector Gavin Smith from Partick police station explained: "I would ask anyone who has seen Emily in Glasgow city centre or the Tradeston area to contact officers through 101 quoting reference number 1448 of February 22."

She is described as white, around 5 ft 3ins tall, slim, wears glasses and has shoulder-length brown hair.

When she was last seen she was wearing a red jacket, a black and white top, grey trousers and red shoes.
