Lewis Capaldi 'has no serious beef' with Noel Gallagher as they end 'lovers tiff'

Scots musician Lewis Capaldi said his feud with Noel Gallagher was actually just a 'lovers tiff'.

In a recent interview with Capital Radio, The Someone You Loved singer said he had no serious beef with the Oasis legend.

When questioned about their recent public spat by breakfast host Roman Kemp, the Whitburn lad said: “I wouldn’t call it a feud, I’d call it a lovers tiff."

He added: “I don’t know who wants to see beef between me and Noel Gallagher but, yeah, he said some unfavourable things, did Noel, and I responded by getting my hair cut like his brother and dressing up like his brother and wearing a shirt with his face on it with a love heart on it."

“It was a whole thing, I tell you something, the beef was raw, it was some raw beef."

Cheeky chap Lewis wore a Chewbacca mask as he took to the main stage at this year’s TRNSMT festival, in response to Noel calling him after the Star Wars character and telling him to enjoy his 15 minutes of fame.

On meeting the veteran rocker, 22-year-old Lewis said they shared a "big hug".

He added: “This is the thing, right – he bloody … he loves me.

“I’m trying to work out if I can send him a plaque for the album. It would be tremendous.

"But no, he’s a lovely man, there was no animosity.

"I mean, I’ve got new T-shirt ideas for Chewis Capaldi for him calling me Chewbacca."

After wearing the Star Wars mask during his iconic set at TRNSMT, Lewis announced he was auctioning it off to raise money for charity Tiny Changes, which was set up in memory of Frightened Rabbit singer Scott Hutchison, who died last year.

After the originial bidder pulled of the sale, Paisley crooner Paolo Nutini saved the day by purchasing the Wookie mask and donating a cool £10,000 to the charity.

But if you had visions of the Last Request singer donning the mask around the house, you should know Paolo won’t be keeping a hold of it for long.

Instead, he’s decided to raffle the infamous item off in a bid to raise even more cash for the charity.

Paolo said: “I really wanted to find a way to help out the Tiny Changes Charity. Not only am I a big fan of Frightened Rabbit but I was lucky enough to share the stage with them on various occasions - most memorably for me on Hogmanay in Edinburgh 2017."
