Lewis Capaldi has fans in stitches as he goes for a pee half way through gig - and takes his mic

When nature calls, it calls and that's exactly what happened to Lewis Capaldi while he was performing at a gig last night.

The Bathgate singer was playing in front of a sell-out 8,000 strong crowd in Scarborough when he suddenly needed the toilet.

Instead of leaving his adoring fans waiting for him to relieve himself he decided to take the microphone with him and keep them entertained.

And thankfully for his supporters around the world someone was there to film the whole thing.

Twitter user Charles Bradley posted a video of the concert when the 22-year-old went backstage for a pee.

In the video Capaldi says: "I'm in the ladies toilets."

As he did the deed, people bellowed in laughter as they heard everything from the sensitive mic.

He continued: "Can you hear it? Oh f****** hell"

After a short time he was back on stage with fans cheering his return.

And his antics weren't the only drama at the gig.

As the night drew to a close two female fans started to fight one another as he sang his record breaking tune, Someone You Loved.

Capaldi took to Twitter to say: "two girls started fighting during someone you loved tonight."

The rowdy crowd couldn't get enough of Capaldi and someone threw their glasses at him.

Thankfully they didn't hurt him as he held a guitar while belting out songs from his debut album, Divinely Uninspired to a Hellish Extent.

He took to Twitter to say: "I also got hit in the face with a pair of sunglasses it’s finally come back to hurt me."

Despite the high drama at the Scarborough performance Capaldi thanked the crowd and said it was "class gig".
