Lewis Capaldi given Duke of Wellington treatment after mask spotted on famous statue

Lewis Capaldi fever is running high at the moment and Glasgow has just taken things one step beyond.

The singer has been given the Duke of Wellington treatment after a mask of his face was spotted on the famous Duke of Wellington statue.

And, in true Glasgow fashion, the figure is sporting two traffic cones on its head.

The Duke is also wearing a pair of Lewis’s signature sunglasses - because it’s all in the details, people.

Lewis, who recently sold out two nights at the Hydro as well as his O2 Academy dates, shared photos of the statue on Twitter, revealing his delight over what is being branded #DukeofCapaldi.

Lewis is a hot topic at the moment, and with his debut album Divinely Uninspired to a Hellish Extent, everyone can’t get enough of the Someone You Loved singer.

The 22-year-old revealed he was recently eyed up by porn sites after noticing Babestation and Fake Taxi both followed him on Twitter.

We also recently reported how Lewis Capaldi gave one Glasgow superfan the best birthday gift with a special Instagram message.

Mellisa McLaren was left stunned when Lewis sent her his best wishes and she later said it was the "BEST DAY EVER".
