A 'sugar mumma' relationship is one in which a rich woman spends money on a younger person, usually in exchange for companionship or sexual favours.
The pair initially sparked a conversation after the launch of Capaldi's newest single, Hold Me While You Wait, with Jane ecstatically raving about the "absolute banger".
And despite all his success - including several weeks at top of the charts and selling out the SSE Hydro - Capaldi might actually take up Jane on the offer.
