Cuban superstar Camila Cabello – who has worked with Pitbull, Machine Gun Kelly as well as her boyfriend Shawn Mendes – has put Lewis Capaldi at the top of her collaboration wishlist.
The Senorita singer gushed: “Lewis Capaldi is amazing. I love him.
“I have been fortunate enough to work with Ed Sheeran – and in Lewis I think the world has discovered another super- talented singer-songwriter.
"It would be incredible to collaborate with him or have him write a song for me – I would be totally up for that.”
The 23-year-old covered Lewis’s monster hit Someone You Loved on Radio1’s Live Lounge on 2019.
After her performance she said: “The lyrics completely destroy me.” And Lewis praised her performance, marvelling that she was singing a song that he wrote. He called it “a momentous day”.
Camila also revealed she can’t get enough of his online banter. She said: “His social media is so funny. He has honestly had me crying with laughter.”
And she admitted the 24-year-old Bathgate star has an advantage over American musicians, saying: “It probably helps that the Scottish accent is one of my favourite in the world – I could listen to it all day.”
