Lewis Capaldi declares himself 'Scottish Beyonce' on London Underground billboard

Scottish singing star Lewis Capaldi has declared himself the 'Scottish Beyonce' on what appears to be a London Underground billboard.

The 'Someone You Loved' singer's eagerly anticipated first album is set to be released at midnight tonight and he seems to be very excited about it.

The picture of the billboard, posted on his Instagram, features a picture of the West Lothian native with a bath towel on his head while he wears red glasses and gives the peace sign.

There is also a quote from Capaldi where brands himself the Scottish Beyonce.

The quote says: "The Scottish Beyonce on a London Underground billboard. Finally famous."

Capaldi, who recently sold out two nights at the Hydro as well as his O2 Academy dates, took to Twitter to reveal to his more than 400,000 followers that he may be famous, he wrote on block capitals: "MY DEBUT ALBUM IS OUT AT MIDNIGHT & THIS IS UP IN LONDON IM FAMOUS IM FAMOUS IM FAMOUS."

The tweet has since gathered a lot of reaction online line with it being retweeted 1,700 times and liked more than 14,000 times.

Lewis shared the photos on Twitter with his followers (Twitter)

It comes after Capaldi was given the Duke of Wellington treatment when a mask of his face was spotted on the famous Duke of Wellington statue in Glasgow earlier today.
