Lewis Capaldi has backed fellow West Lothian locals The Snuts in their race to beat international pop star Demi Lovato to make the number one spot this week.
The Snuts are a four-member group from Whitburn who are now fighting it out to see their debut album W.L hit the top of the Official Albums charts.
In a hilarious new video, the Somebody You Loved singer who is also from Whitburn, pleads with his fans to back 'the boys' and to support them overtake Demi Lovato.
The band who is made up of Jack Cochrane (vocals and guitar), Joe McGillveray (guitar), Callum Wilson (bass) and Jordan 'Joko' Mackay (drums) are battling with Lovato, who has released her seventh studio recording, 'Dancing With The Devil... The Art of Starting Over'.
Yesterday Edinburgh Live reported how there were just 1,100 sales between the band and Lovato.
In a video posted on the Snuts' Instagram page today, Capaldi says: "Hello it's Lewis Capaldi here [shows dog] this is my dog Frank and I'm currently off to pick up just a little bit of s**t that he has done. He's laid quite the log in my kitchen and I thought while I was doing that I would ask all of you out there to please go ahead and make make sure you go and buy, download, stream, The Snuts' brand new album W.L

"It's so close to being number one, it's the boys against Demi Lovato and listen we all love Demi Lovato but sometimes, sometimes we have to make sacrifices, make sure you go out there and get the new record."
The West Lothian star then hilariously flashes his dog's poop to the camera.
