Lewis Burton snuggles into Caroline Flack as he throws support behind girlfriend

Lewis Burton has shared a gorgeous snap cuddled into his girlfriend Caroline Flack after she stepped down as Love Island host.

The 27-year-old took to Instagram to share the adorable picture hours after Cazza's frenemy Laura Whitmore was in final talks to replace her on the hit dating show.

The couple were pictured hugging very tightly in a bar while both grinning for the camera in the loved-up snap.

He captioned the photo with nothing but a heart emoji, showing off his loving support for 40-year-old Caroline.

She recently stepped down as the presenter of Love Island following her assault charge and was due to present the sixth series of the ITV2 show in January.

The star said she is "absolutely devastated" by the decision.

Confirming the news on Instagram, she wrote: "Love Island has been my world for the last five years, it's the best show on telly.

"In order not to detract from the attention of the upcoming series I feel the best thing I can do is stand down for Series 6."

She continued: "I want to wish the incredible team working on the show a fantastic series in Cape Town."

ITV sources say the door is always open to the star and maintain it was her decision to quit the show.

Irish presenter Laura is in final talks to replace her as her deal with ITV is almost finalised and she was the bookies favourite to replace Caroline.

Laura is a friend of Flack's and of the show - as her boyfriend Iain Stirling narrates Love Island.

A source told the Mirror: "Laura will replace Caroline. The deal is nearly finalised."

Laura and Caroline have been described as 'frenemies' although the pair are close pals they are often competitive over TV jobs.
