'Levitating can of lager' spotted floating in Glasgow sky

Some strange sights have been spotted in the sky over Glasgow in recent months...

Could it be that some extra-terrestrials have ventured to Earth for a poke of chips out the Blue Lagoon?

Take the bizarre ‘teensy bit aurora-like' beams of light spotted in the sky back in February or the unidentified object with flashing lights spotted above one part of the city that one local said was " "moving too fast" to be a helicopter or a drone.

And now it seems we have another mystery on our hands that might arouse some excitement among UFO fans.

Another strange object has been spotted floating in the cloudless sky that has left one Glaswegian and his son flummoxed.

The object was spotted in the south side of the city looking south-east earlier this morning by Neil Findlay, who shared an image of the object on Twitter and ask for help in identifying it.

The idea that it might be the International Space Station - which has passed over the city recently - has been dismissed as it's too big.

So what could it be? A UFO? Or as one person noted 'a levitating can of lager'?

Perhaps like us, they are seeing a mirage in the sky as we wait impatiently for the pubs to reopen...
