'Levitating can of lager' reappears in skies above Glasgow

Back in April last year it seemed like Glaswegians had been struck down with a new affliction while we waited patiently for pubs to reopen amid lockdown.

Why? Because a strange object that looked like a 'levitating can of lager' was spotted floating in the cloudless sky, leaving people well and truly flummoxed.

And while the fact the pubs have now reopened would lead you to think that such boozer-scarcity would put rest to any repeat event, it appears that the 'levitating can of lager' has once again been spotted above the city.

Video footage has surfaced of the sighting, which appears to show a large metallic-coloured cylinder shaped object floating through the air, with something else - that doesn't seem attached - also floating directly beneath it.

The person who took the video got in touch with Glasgow Live after seeing our story on the flying 'lager' and said that they are, like their predecessor before them, struggling to find out what it is they saw.

Sadly the excuse that it may have been a mirage in the sky as we waited impatiently for the pubs to reopen wouldn't fly this time, while it appears to be too big to be the International Space Station either. A weather balloon perhaps?

Answers on a postcard Glasgow.
