A 17-year-old boy has been charged with the murder of a teenager stabbed to death in south east London.

Levi Ernest-Morrison, also 17, was found collapsed on the ground with a knife wound in Sydenham on Saturday, April 10.

The suspect appeared before Bromley Magistrates’ Court on Saturday. He was remanded in custody to appear at the Old Bailey this week.

Nichola Leighton, 36, of Sydenham, has also been accused of Levi’s murder.

Judge Anne Molyneux said Leighton will enter a plea at the Old Bailey on July 2.

Levi’s mother, who asked not to be named, said her son was autistic and disabled.

She added: “He was a beautiful boy with a beautiful heart.”

Detectives issued a fresh plea for anyone with information about the killing to come forward.

DCI Chris Wood said: “It is often the case that friends or acquaintances of the victim know who was responsible.

“If you are one of those people, please do the right thing by your friend and get in touch with us.”
