Le'Veon Bell vs Adrian Peterson UK time: Start time for fight between NFL stars

Former NFL stars Le'Veon Bell and Adrian Peterson will square off in a boxing exhibition tonight.

Bell and Peterson will fight on the undercard of YouTube star AnEson Gib's boxing return against Austin McBroom tonight, with the exhibition landing on the latest Social Gloves event.

The former NFL running backs are both now free agents and are not competing on the football field for the start of this season. Instead they will be delivering hits rather than avoiding tackles as they look to come out on top in their unique rivalry.

Peterson has seven appearances in the Super Bowl event, an MVP award and is ranked as the NFL's fifth highest all-time rushing in terms of yardage. Bell similarly has appeared in the hallmark match three times, and has also made two AllPro teams during his career in the sport.

We take a look at all you need to know ahead of the unique exhibition bout below...

What time does Le'Veon Bell v Adrian Peterson start?

Bell and Peterson will finally square off on a new rescheduled date of September 11, at the Banc of California Stadium in Los Angeles. Their bout failed to take place on its original July 30 planned date after issues with the main event between YouTuber AnEson Gib and McBroom.

The event will start at 2am in the UK with Bell's clash with Peterson landing as the co-main event on the night. It is expected that this fight could take place as late as 4:30am depending on the duration of the prior bouts.

How to watch via TV and live stream

An exclusive stream of the event is available to purchase for viewers from Socialgloves.tv which is a pay-per-view service provided by promotion Social Gloves. The price point has been set at at $25, which is around £21.50 in the UK. Customers will be able to watch the event on a whole host of platforms including mobile, tablet and laptop via the app.

Bell: “I think I’ve got a great opponent,” Bell said. “I get to be in front of a lot of people and showcase my skills and show what I been working hard on.

“I’ve just been doing a lot of, obviously, running, a lot of rounds on the mitts, a lot of sparring. I understand AP one of those guys — look at his football career — he’s one of those guys that always come in shape, he’s always in better shape than everybody else, he works hard. So I just tried my best to meet that level, try to exceed that level if I can.

“I’m obviously confident in myself so I’m obviously going into the ring to showcase my skills to the world, show people why I’m here, why I’m doing this.”

Peterson: “Really learning how to pick your shots, being smart," he said. "People look at my football style and of course I’ve been able to transition that into the ring as well. But in football I was able to be a little out of control at times, and in boxing you have to be really precise and pick where you gonna try to deliver that knockout blow.

So I’m not just gonna be out there throwing haymakers — that wouldn’t be my style if I didn’t play football the way I did. You got to be smart, this is a different arena when you in that ring, you gotta be smart, pick your shots, and be good with your defence.

“At the end of the day I’m leaving with a W.”
