These were the final day scenes at one Dublin shopping centre as eager punters rushed to finalise Christmas presents and have one last gander in Penneys and the like on the eve of Level 5 lockdown.
Thousands have flocked to Dundrum since this morning to have a last sneek-peek around the shops as they prepare to close their shutters.
The below video shows each and every store in the shopping centre packed with people while some are even forced to wait in line to get into some of the shops.
Escalators are bumper to bumper with excited shoppers as they rush from floor to floor making sure every inch of the famous southside mall is covered.
And while stores around Dublin will shut up shop for six weeks after today, there will be still essential retailers and services remaining opening from now until December.
These include:
- Outlets selling food and beverages on a takeaway basis.
- Markets that offer food for sale.
- Outlets selling products necessary for the essential upkeep and functioning of places of residence and businesses.
- Pharmacies, chemists and retailers or wholesalers providing pharmaceuticals or pharmaceutical or dispensing services.
- Outlets selling health, medical or orthopaedic goods in a specialised outlet.
- Fuel service stations and heating fuel providers
- Outlets selling essential items for the health and welfare of animals.
- Laundries and drycleaners
- Banks, post offices and credit unions

- Outlets selling safety supplies (including work-wear apparel, footwear and personal protective equipment).
- Hardware shops that offer supplies for business construction or maintenance, sanitation and farming equipment as well as tools for essential agriculture purposes.
