Well into winter, Chopard marks the frosty season with the Happy Snowflakes watch, showcasing the brand's expertise in several artistic crafts.
Its dial-maker meticulously used mother-of-pearl marquetry techniques in reproducing dainty snowflakes on the white gold dial. The fragile mother-of-pearl from shells were carefully selected for their subtle shades, iridescent effects and textures to compose a naturally shiny and luminous motif.
Snowflakes are engraved on the sides of the white gold case and glare-proof sapphire crystal that creates an illusion that real snow crystals have settled on the 36mm ladies' model.
The gem-setter showcased his snow-setting skills on the bezel and the dial, whose sparkle is intensified by three dancing diamonds and a snowflake-shaped mobile.
The case back has snowflakes adorning the sapphire crystal pane while the glossy white alligator leather strap adds a wintry look to the limited edition of 25 pieces, whose mechanical self-winding movement offers a 42-hour power reserve.
