Letter: Sylvia Syms obituary

At the 1970 Edinburgh festival, Sylvia Syms appeared in two productions by the Prospect Theatre Company: Much Ado About Nothing and a revival of their adaptation of Boswell’s Life of Johnson.

I was one of the stage crew for both productions. Unlike some others in the cast, Syms treated the crew as equals and often chatted to us during scene breaks. She was a very gracious lady indeed.
