I remember Phil Ryan as a fine keyboards player alongside the impressive guitarists Micky Jones and Clive John in the Welsh acid rock band Man during their 1970s heyday. Their 1972 concert at Central London poly, now the University of Westminster, was simply the best rock gig I ever went to.
