Letter: Nicholas Russell, a passionate lobbyist for children with special needs

Nicholas Russell, 6th Earl Russell, was a stalwart member of the Waltham Forest Schools Forum from its first meeting in November 2002 until his death. Elected by the chairs of primary school governors, he was a passionate lobbyist for children with special needs, and not only in meetings. Nick would ring me as the forum's chair at odd hours and from all sorts of places: his commitment and eccentricities are deeply missed by me and many others.
