It was appropriate that the obituary of Clark Terry should have been written by another trumpeter, Ian Carr. A very moving film, Keep on Keepin’ on, directed by Alan Hicks, was screened during the 2014 London film festival. It followed Terry mentoring an aspiring young pianist, Justin Kauflin. Hopefully it will receive further screenings.
