32 years since its release, John Landis' fish out of water comedy continues to hold its classic status because even the mention of certain characters and quotes can still incite a laugh.
After all, who can forget Randy Watson and his band, Sexual Chocolate?


Aside from this, the scenes in the barbershop where Eddie Murphy and Arsenio Hall played a litany of characters under prosthetic makeup still crack audiences up, while James Earl Jones is still as terrifying as always!
For those that may have missed the original, the plot revolves around an extremely pampered African prince who travels to Queens, New York, and goes undercover to find a wife that he can respect for her intelligence and will.
Simply put, it's a classic and expectations are high for the sequel.
Well, the first images of Coming To America 2 have been released by Amazon and the gang are all back.
Truth be told, we're especially delighted to see Clarence and the barbershop gang returning!


In terms of the plot, we're told that: "Set in the lush and royal country of Zamunda, newly-crowned King Akeem (Eddie Murphy) and his trusted confidante Semmi (Arsenio Hall) embark on an all-new hilarious adventure that has them traversing the globe from their great African nation to the borough of Queens, New York – where it all began."
The film is directed by Craig Brewer (Hustle + Flow, Dolemite Is My Name) and the majority of the cast and characters from the original are back too, alongside some new additions.
Aside from Murphy and Hall, Coming To America 2 also stars Jermaine Fowler, Leslie Jones, Tracy Morgan, KiKi Layne, Shari Headley, with Wesley Snipes and James Earl Jones.


Also starring John Amos, Teyana Taylor, Vanessa Bell Calloway, Paul Bates, Nomzamo Mbatha, Bella Murphy, Vanessa Bell Calloway, Paul Bates.
