'Let us be the judges of data behind Tory Government's lockdown decisions'

Boris Johnson opting to lift virus restrictions simultaneously across the whole of England rather than regionally and in tiers is a judgement call by a Prime Minister who was recently slow to respond to scientific evidence.

Weary and worried people will understandably weigh carefully what is announced.

But in his eagerness to revive the economy it would be reckless to risk thousands more lives when the dead can never be resurrected.
