Let the (legal) tampering begin!

At noon Eastern time or 9 a.m. Arizona time, the soft opening to NFL free agency begins. For two days, NFL teams may begin communications with player agents of those who will be free agents when the new league year begins Wednesday at 4 p.m. Eastern time.

This is when the rumors will begin. Teams will talk, arrangements will be made and reports will come out.

However, league rules prohibit teams from engaging in actual financial negotiations.

Will there be financial information reported? Of course. However, the rules are no talks about money.

Who will the Arizona Cardinals contact? Some names that have been suggested are linebacker C.J. Mosley and offensive lineman Rodger Saffold.

The news will come early and often. Let’s hope everyone is ready, as the Cardinals are expected to be active players in free agency this year.
