Let's settle this once and for all - dogs or cats?

So come on then, let’s settle this biggie once and for all. It’s time to show which side your claws are on and decide if you’re a dog person or a cat person.

Because you just can’t be both. Right?

Just ask Claire Horton, the former CEO of Battersea Dogs and Cats home.

She stunned listeners on BBC Radio 4’s Desert Island Discs when she revealed where her heart is.

“The answer should be, ‘oh, well, I love them both equally’, but dogs, dogs for me every time,” she told host Lauren Laverne.

Now we admit that all of us here at TeamDogs might just be a little biased (ahem!) in favour of cats (only joking!!). Of course we’re TD all the way.

But in terms of what’s most popular in Britain, it’s dogs who take it by a whisker.

There are more dog owners than cat owners in the UK, according to PDSA stats from February 2020.

Whilst 51 per cent of the UK adult population owns a pet, 26 per cent own a dog and 24 per cent own a cat.

So today we’re going to ask the nation and let you decide once and for all.
