'Let's see him play' - Bristol City fans have their say on new forward Rodri

Bristol City fans are expecting news on Spanish striker Rodri any time soon with the forward having flown to Bristol on Tuesday.

The out-of-contract 29-year-old and his coaching staff and a deal could be confirmed later this week if the former Granada forward impresses behind the scenes up at Failand.

With time at Sheffield Wednesday already under his belt, Rodri does have experience of English football and could prove another handy pick-up by City as they look to sharpen their teeth at the front-end of the team, and with Benik Afobe sadly ruled out with injury for the rest of the season.

Given all that, Bristol City fans have had their say on what the potential new recruit might offer.

Dwight Gayle may be a bit of a long shot...

No words. Just a GIF of - possibly forlorn - hope that this move will work out well.

Backing for the club. Quite right. The last two summer shave been very good for City so no complaints there.

Sensible take - not all big money moves end in sucess, and likewise not every free deal ends in failure.

Could be the off-the-shoulder striker needed.

Some are easily pleased.

And one Sheffield Wednesday supporter sneaks in, with Rodri having played 11 games for the Owls.

There's your motivation, Rodri... Prove them wrong.

Bristol City supporters may get to see the new man in action at the weekend against Luton Town.
