Let's Rock: Retro music festival in Bangor cancelled due to 'logistical issues'

Organisers of a popular retro music festival held in Co Down have announced that they have been forced to cancel their upcoming gig due to "logistical issues beyond [their] control".

Let's Rock! has been putting on family-friendly 80s music festivals since 2009, with music lovers at the Northern Ireland event enjoying a packed line-up of icons from the decade.

The event was due to take place on August 5 at Ward Park in Bangor but will no longer be going ahead after being "cancelled by the event organisers".

A statement on their website reads: "We were all looking forward to Lets Rock Northern Ireland, but unfortunately this event cannot go ahead as planned.

"Due to logistical issues beyond our control, we sadly have to cancel this event.

"All customers will receive a full face value refund from the vendor where you purchased your tickets, details will be emailed to the address you registered when buying your tickets."

An update issued on their website (Let's Rock)

After receiving numerous messages online about its cancellation and how the public can access refunds to the festival, Let's Rock clarified the process on social media.

Taking to Facebook, they said: "Unfortunately the Let’s Rock Northern Ireland event which had been scheduled for the 5th August 2023 has been cancelled by the event organisers,

"All ticket holders will receive an email on how to claim a refund for their tickets,

"If you don’t see the email in your inbox please search in your junk box for messages from ‘Gigantic’."

Should you require help or have not received that email please contact the ticketing team directly on customerservices@gigantic.com quoting your booking reference details.
