Let's Rock Festival sees eighties stars Midge Ure and Lulu entertaining revellers

Dalkeith's Let's Rock Festival saw eighties stars including Midge Ure, Clare Grogan, and Lulu entertaining revellers as one of the first Scots music festivals since the Covid 19 outbreak.

The all day music event which had Adam Ant headlining, as well as ABC and Heather Small, promised retro music and although social distancing was not officially required, everyone attending had to show proof of a negative lateral flow test.

Martin Fry came up from Blackpool for the festival and Tony Hadley kicked off the music of the day.

Ahead of her Altered Images set Clare Grogan popped into Taylor Ferguson's Glasgow salon to get her hair styled.

Pat Sharp also got ready for his big DJ set on stage and at the VIP enclosure later too.

The ex Funhouse star, who is now 59, said he was planning to continue playing music for as long as he could telling fans: "I love that Harrison Ford is filming Indiana Jones 5 aged 79.

"He’s two decades older than me. Gives me hope to carry on rocking for a while yet."

Midge Ure also popped up at the festival and was hoping not to repeat his 'silent stage' incident in Belgium a few days ago which saw someone pull a plug by mistake whilst he was performing.

Midge posed by his tour bus after his Electronica set and said: "Made it back reasonably unscathed! Have fun Scotland!"

The event joins others due in Scotland this year including TRNSMT and Playground festivals.
