Actress and serial optimist Pamela Anderson has tied the knot, yet again.
Befitting of the 53-year-old animal lover’s compulsive nature, it was a snappy decision to embark upon her fifth marriage. It follows a one-year romance with her new beau, former bodyguard Dan Hayhurst, which Pammy says “felt like seven, like dog years”.
Oh! Let’s just hope she gets him to sit, beg, roll over and, more importantly, stay, then. Unlike her previous hubbies Tommy Lee, Kid Rock, Rick Salomon and Jon Peters, who failed to last the course with the mum-of-two.
I’ll never forget the memorable beach day I spent with Pammy and the rest of the Baywatch cast, back in the early 90s when I worked and lived in LA.
I saw close up how maternal, kind and loving she is – I remember her sorting food for me and my cameraman, making sure we didn’t get left out of the midday rush for lunch, despite the fact she was working and had her lines to concentrate on.
She was mindful that we went away with all the interviews and shots we needed and took great care to make sure we were looked after.
She’s bright, she’s sensitive, she’s a sucker for a lost cause and I really hope this time around she’s found lasting love.
“Love is the most important thing in the world,” she once said, despite her encounters with a variety of losers.
Let’s hope she’s finally bagged a winner. She sure as hell deserves it.
