'Let's go' - Highly-rated teenager's first message after signing for Nottingham Forest

New signing Loic Mbe Soh is looking forward to a “new challenge” at Nottingham Forest.

The defender put pen to paper on a four-year contract at the City Ground last week, making the move from French giants PSG.

He became the Reds’ seventh summer signing at the time, before Abdoulaye Diallo was added to the squad on Monday.

Head coach Sabri Lamouchi has said he sees 19-year-old Mbe Soh as being able to challenge for a spot in the first-team.

And the centre-back posted a positive message on social media after sealing his switch to the club.

Alongside a picture of himself wearing the Garibaldi, he wrote on Instagram: “New challenge, happy to be here, let’s go.”

The highly-rated teenager has made three appearances for PSG in Ligue 1 and helped them win the International Super Cup in 2019.

He has also played for France at youth-team level, including captaining the Under-18s.

Asked if he can play a role for the first-team this season, Lamouchi said of Mbe Soh: “Of course, he signed to play for the first-team.

“All of the players signed because they can play in the starting XI.”

Mbe Soh could be in the frame for his first involvement with Lamouchi’s side this weekend, when they host Cardiff City looking to register a first win of the season.
