'Let's go' - Arsenal fans think they've spotted a Thomas Partey transfer hint

Arsenal fans are still waiting for Mikel Arteta to add another midfielder to their ranks in this summer transfer window.

The transfer window remains open for a little more than a week, with signings able to be made from foreign clubs until 11pm on Monday, October 5.

Dani Ceballos has returned to the Emirates on another season-long loan deal from Real Madrid, but manager Mikel Arteta is keen to add another midfield player to his ranks.

Thomas Partey has been a long-term target, while Houssem Aouar has also emerged as a potential signing in recent weeks.

But will either of them become Arsenal players in the next week?

Lyon president Jean-Michel Aulas believes Aouar will be too expensive for the Gunners, while Partey has a £43million release clause, which could remain the big sticking point with Atletico Madrid.

Arteta is keen to offload some players before he makes another signing, with the likes of Lucas Torreira, Shkodran Mustafi and Sokratis Papastathopoulos tipped to leave the club.

If he can do so, there will be questions over which of Partey and Aouar the Gunners will sign.

And Arsenal fans think they've spotted another hint that Partey could be the one who is on his way to north London.

A video of Atletico Madrid training emerged on social media on Saturday afternoon and Partey was apparently nowhere to be seen.

Spanish journalist Belen Sanchez Garcia tweeted the video which appeared to hint at Diego Simeone's team selection for the weekend game against Granada.

The tweet read: "Tomorrow premiere in the League, Atleti-Granada and test eleven: Oblak; Trippier, Savic, Felipe, Lodi; Correa, Koke, Saúl, Carrasco; João and Costa."

And that led to plenty of excitement from Arsenal fans.

@tom_mxson said: "Partey begging to join us. Can’t wait to activate his release clause on deadline day."

After @khang_jeffrey said "Where's Partey?" @XammyOfficial responded with : "On his way to N5."

Meanwhile @afcxman said: "No Partey, let’s goooooo."
