'Let’s get it right' - Everton great Kevin Campbell makes point over Jurgen Klopp 'antics'

Former Everton striker Kevin Campbell believes Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp’s ‘clever antics’ galvanised the Anfield crowd as the Reds beat Arsenal 4-0 on Saturday.

The game was a nervy goalless draw when Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta and Klopp got heated on the touchline and the Anfield crowd reacted.

Liverpool raised their game after the altercation and eventually put four past the Gunners as they returned to winning ways in the Premier League and moved four points behind leaders Chelsea.

If anyone is capable of lifting the Anfield crowd then it is certainly Klopp and his show of passion and defence of his players did just this as Campbell highlighted.

“It raised the heat in the stadium. It is always hot at Anfield but that moment lifted the crowd,” said Campbell to Football Insider.

“Jurgen Klopp is clever. Let’s get it right, he used the incident as a catalyst.

Mikel Arteta wasn’t having a go at Klopp. He was just making a gesture to the referee.

“Klopp is the one that started it. Arteta is obviously going to defend what he has seen.

“That gets the 12th man involved though. The team, as we have seen so many times, responds to the crowd.

“Klopp used that moment really well. It is not the first time he has done it.

Liverpool upped their levels after that moment and the key thing is, Arsenal couldn’t match them.”
