'Let's all laugh at Arsenal' - Spurs fans delighted as Wolves deal Gunners a top four blow

It's been a good week for Tottenham as they move into the ascendancy in the hunt for a top four finish.

The 1-0 victory over Brighton on Tuesday night was hard-fought, but added three valuable points to the tally of Mauricio Pochettino's side.

Those points were even more valuable after Chelsea's 2-2 draw with Burnley on Monday, and Manchester United's 2-0 defeat against Manchester City.

While seeing their divisional rivals drop points was certainly satisfying, it was the defeat of Tottenham's rivals Arsenals which left the fans jubilant on social media.

The Gunners are also embroiled in the battle to finish in the Premier League top four, but were dealt a huge blow as they lost 3-1 against Wolverhampton Wanderers.

Unai Emery's side were 3-0 down at half-time after a first half capitulation, leaving them four points behind Spurs with just three games left.

That means there's now daylight between Mauricio Pochettino's side and fifth-place Arsenal, and it's safe to say that the white half of north London are delighted with Arsenal's result.
