Let It Snow by John Green, Maureen Johnson and Lauren Myracle - review

I recently read Let It Snow, a book collaboration with three fabulous writers. To be honest I hadn't heard of Maureen Johnson and Lauren Myracle, but John Green is my favourite so I was sure this book would live up to my expectations.

The first mini story "The Jubilee Express" by Maureen Johnson was so heartwarming and made me smile. I felt like I was Jubilee becuase Maureen expressed her emotions so well. This is the perfect young adult book to read during the festive season, especially if you enjoy romances. It represents Christmas spirit at its best. Stuart is such a charming and kind young man, I wish he was real!

The second short story "A Cheertastic Christmas Miracle" by John Green really did show the rawness of real life and romance. It shows that friendships can be more and romance can be bliss. The whole atmosphere of the story is warming and romantic, It's done subtly, but still very sweet and cute. The Duke is quite a reserved character until towards the end and then you see the true her. I could connect with her a lot. It's such a fabulous read. John Green's work never fails to make me smile.

"The Patron Saint Of Pigs" By Lauren Myracle, the third short story in this amazing book, is also brilliant. Addie is a young girl going through a break up but somehow her dreams come true at Christmas time. It's a great story and has such a warm feel to it. It shows you that happy endings do come if you want it bad enough. I hadn't heard of Lauren Myracle before but after reading this short Christmas story I would definitely recommend her and purchase her other books.

This whole book is definitely one of my favourites. It is actually beyond perfect. It's festive and very clever becuase in each story you are introduced to characters that are in the next or previous story. "Let it Snow" will be my Christmas Read for many years to come and I'm sure if you read this fabulous book, it will be yours too...
