Lester hits home run as Cubs slug their way to 16-4 win over Diamondbacks

CHICAGO _ August has arrived for the Cubs, who are intent on continuing the success that has seen them post a 41-15 record in those months under manager Joe Maddon. Thanks to a 17-hit attack, the Cubs beat the Diamondbacks, 16-4, Tuesday night at warm Wrigley Field. The Cubs smacked five home runs, including two by Anthony Rizzo. Jon Lester hit his first major league home run in the third.
