Tottenham fans have been reacting to the club talking to Paulo Fonseca about taking over as the new permanent manager.
football.london understands that the former Roma boss is Fabio Paratici 's number one target to become the new Spurs manager.
It is not a done deal yet, but Paratici is a huge fan of Fonseca and wants him in north London.
Fonseca left Roma at the end of the 2020/21 season despite leading the Italian club to a Europa League semi-final.
The man who Spurs are looking to replace - Jose Mourinho - was then appointed as manager in the Italian capital.
Mourinho was sacked in mid-April after a very disappointing 2020/21 campaign with the north London club.
Spurs fans cannot get their heads around the club reportedly deciding to replace Mourinho with the man Roma let go to appoint the Portuguese coach.

Spurs did look set to appoint Antonio Conte as their new boss, but talks over taking over at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium broke down because of his demands and whether he would commit to playing the younger players.
Prior to that, former manager Mauricio Pochettino was the club's first choice, but Paris Saint-Germain were very reluctant to let the Argentine head coach leave the Parc des Princes after just six months in the French capital.
Other names to be linked are Erik ten Hag, Brendan Rodgers and Graham Potter, but new reports are suggesting Spurs are close to getting their man.
Fonseca, if he does come in at Spurs, will be managing his 10th different club after previous spells at Estrela Amadora, Dezembro, Odivelas, Pinhalnovense, Aves, Pacos Ferreira (two spells), Porto, Braga, Shakhtar Donetsk and Roma.
