BHOPAL: For the second consecutive day on Friday, less than 200 new Covid-19 positive cases were reported in the state as only 153 people tested positive for the infection.
Earlier on March 3, 141 new cases were reported and it was lowest since January 1, when 124 new cases were reported. As on March 4, there were a total of 1871 active cases in the state. Against 153 people testing positive, 515 people recovered on Friday. No death was reported in the state on March 4.
New infections were reported from 35 of the 52 districts of the state. And Bhopal and Indore were the only districts where cases were reported in double digits, as 26 had tested positive in Bhopal and 17 in Indore.
Positivity rate of 0.4% was reported in the state. Positivity rate is the number of people testing positive out of every 100 samples tested.
A total of 32,524 samples were tested in the state while 515 people recovered, taking the count to 10,02,142.
