BHOPAL: Less than 2.5 lakh Covid-19 vaccine doses were administered across Madhya Pradesh on Monday as per the state health bulletin released by the directorate of health services.
Of the total 2.46 lakh doses administered, not more than 8,553 doses were administered as precaution doses to elderly, frontline and health workers, says the data on CoWin portal. So far, the state has managed to provide only 8.36 lakh precaution doses.
With these Covid-19 vaccine doses being administered in the state on Monday, barely 11.24 crore vaccine doses have been administered in the state so far.
Among the districts where maximum doses were administered on Monday include Indore district where only 15,977 people could get the vaccine dose, followed by Dhar district where around 15,044 people could get vaxxed, followed by Morena district where 11,779 doses were administered through the day and Shivpuri where only 10,574 doses were provided.
Vaccination is now being carried out on all days including Sundays in the state. On Monday, it was carried out at around 5,400 government vaccination centres in the state.
Vaccination of pregnant women had also started in the state from July 23. However, the vaccination of expecting women will be carried out on Tuesdays and Fridays.
