The actress and comedian Leslie Jones, a woman who has previously been targeted by internet trolls, has now had her website hacked with naked photographs and personal information about the star posted there.
Reports said that Jones, the star of Saturday Night Live and Ghostbusters, suffered an attack from hackers who gained entry to her website and posted details such as her passport number and driving licence there, along with a series of offensive comments.
Jones, is very active on Twitter, responded to the event with bluntness.
“Ok I have been called Apes, even got a pic with semen on my face. I’m tryin to figure out what human means. I’m out,” she said.
Earlier this summer, Jones, 48, she was harassed by trolls on social media, including Breitbart News editor Milo Yiannopoulos. Twitter banned Mr Yiannopoulos after he posted racist comments about the comedian. Jones called the harassment “gross and mean and unnecessary.”
Last month, the actress was at the centre of controversy after she tweeted that no designers were willing to dress her for the Ghostbusters premiere.
The designer Christian Siriano eventually offered to so, but not before sparking an online debate about whether or not she deserved a free dress.
