Bake Off host Sandi Toksvig’s wife acted as a consultant for lesbian sex scenes in Prue Leith’s book.
The Channel 4 show’s judge recruited her co-star’s wife, psychotherapist Debbie, to help with novel, The Lost Son, and, in the acknowledgements thanks her for having “approved my chapters on a lesbian love affair”.
Raunchy extracts include a shower scene where two characters soap one another - in detail - before drying each other “feverishly”, which is described as “the sexiest thing they had done”. Prue thanks various friends who provided expert insight into different topics in her final pages.
She quipped: “Looking at the list you could be forgiven for thinking that I knew very little about anything.

Sandi Toksvig and wife Debbie, a psychotherapist, joined in a civil partnership in 2007 before renewing their vows on March 29, 2014 – the day same-sex marriage was introduced in England and Wales.
In December that year their civil partnership was converted into a marriage.
Prue, 70, describes her book as “a sweeping family saga full of revelations and family secrets”.
